A Greater Houston high-rise condo unit owner stayed in the building during a Cat 2 water-loss restoration. HireAVac supplied a HEPA vacuum used between drying cycles and after demolition, keeping airborne particulate undetectable to the occupant.

Challenge

The owner was elderly and had a respiratory condition; their physician's note required minimal airborne particulate during the 3-week restoration. Full hotel relocation was the alternative — and it wasn't going to be paid by the carrier. The restoration firm needed a HEPA workflow that could be documented for the adjuster.

Solution

Daily HEPA vacuum pass on all work surfaces and HVAC return grilles between drying cycles. Final HEPA pass on completion, documented with photos and time-stamped daily log. The unit stayed on site for the full project at a weekly rental rate.
